MIND- BLOWING FACTS ABOUT THE STAR WARS SAGA

Hello everybody! The last Star Wars movie, The Rise of Skywalker,  is finally out at cinemas and in honour of its release I decided to list a few facts about one the most popular sagas in the world. Enjoy the reading!

       1. Yoda was almost played by a monkey

George Lucas, producer and director of the films, wanted Yoda to be played by a monkey that was supposed to wear a mask and carry a stick. But luckily it didn’t happen.
Bonus fact about Yoda: his species has never been named…it is a mystery.

       2. Lightsabers noise

We all wondered where that enigmatic noise came from. Well, the noise that lightsabers make comes from the hum of an old television’s tube and the buzz of a movie projector’s engine.

3.  Star Wars coins

This is a very curious fact. Did you know that you can use Star Wars collectible coins as real coins? That’s wicked! But not in every country. Niue, a little island in the Pacific Ocean, accepts Star Wars coins as legal tender. These coins are plated in silver and there is just a limited edition.

      4. Han Solo almost died on the set

The original producer of Return of the Jedi revealed that in the first story outline, Han Solo dies and the Rebel forces are left in danger, while Luke disappears into the wild. But George Lucas, the current producer, thought that killing the main characters wasn’t a good idea and the fans would be really angry and disappointed, so he denied the original idea.

       5. Boba Fett’s face

Throughout the movies of the original trilogy Boba Fett always wears a helmet and never shows his face. Well not everyone knows that the actor who plays Fett also plays another role in Empire Strikes Back: Imperial Lieutenant Sheckil, who captures princess Leia during her attempted escape. In that scene the actor Jeremy Bulloch stands in for the original actor who wasn’t available at the last minute.

6.       Darth Vader is banned from all the events Star Wars themed

David Prowse, the actor who was inside the armor of Vader, is banned from all the official Star Wars events just because George Lucas finds him annoying. Poor Proswe…  but he doesn’t have to worry because there are a lot of people that will dress up as Darth Vader during the events.
