Between the skyscrapers of the Upper West Side and the Upper
East Side, New York's Central Park divides the two residential districts and
extends from 59th street to 110th street in Manhattan, with lakes, playgrounds,
skating rinks and wide trails.
Hello everyone! Nothing can amaze and astonish us as much as the extraordinary beauty of Nature. Do you agree with me? Have a look at these places and let me know in your comments.
Charamel’ s falls
In the Pacific Oceans, there is a wonderful optical illusion. In
the Mauritius Islands, it seems that the abyss crumbles and creates these
incoparable underwater falls.

Why are some countries happier than others? There are many factors that make a country happy, but the happiest countries have in common three main elements: their people feel secure, their people have a sense of purpose and their people minimize stress and maximize joy.
Since I was younger I've always been
interested in rocks and minerals. 4 years ago I went to London and I visited
the Natural History Museum where I bought an amazing book on minerals and
rocks. Thanks to it I’ve learnt a lot about minerals and, today, I'm going to share
with you what my three favourite ones are.
First of all, definition!
A mineral is a naturally occurring solid
with specific chemical composition.
If you wish a unique trip, you should absolutely go and
visit caves in Italy. Our country boasts a big quantity of awesome caves,
almost all accessible. There are caverns with compelling landscapes placed
especially in the subsoil where there is always a cool climate. Speleological
tourism has developed in Italy during the last years. Before an excursion you’d
better be sure to have the necessary equipment: a pair of trekking shoes, appropriate
clothing, a good flashlight and, finally,
a reliable guide.
In this post we are going to see the most beautiful forests in the world. These wonderful places are in danger, as we all know, since we try to keep updated about environmental issues related to pollution and the overuse of natural resources, like deforestation and its main consequences, among which global warming. So as not to forget, let’s start our journey through the most beautiful forests in the world.
Hi friends! We are Francesco and Nicolo’ and today, in this post, we will talk about a very interesting initiative: “I borghi più belli d’Italia”, the most beautiful villages in Italy. This is an association which selects small villages around the Italy, according to their historical and naturalistic interest. It was founded in March 2001 with the aim of preserving and maintaining villages of fabulous heritage. The association holds initiatives such as festivals, exhibitions and other interesting events.
Furthermore, they draw up a list including the most beautiful Italian towns. This is a very competitive contest!
Hi guys! We are Francesco and Nicolo’ and, in this post, we
are going to talk about a very interesting topic. In 2008, the Seven Natural
Wonders (an American association) put together a list of ecological beauties.
Most people call these the “Seven Wonders of the Natural World”.
First of all, let’s examine in depth what the role of “Seven
Natural Wonders” project is. It’s an organization created to protect and
promote the natural wonders of the world, having established to defend the
original being of the seven natural wonders. The wonders’ list includes:
A giant iceberg, with an area equivalent to Liguria (a region in Italy), is poised to break off from the Antartica shelf.
A thread of just 20km of ice is now preventing the 5,000 sq
km mass from floating away, following the sudden expansion last month of a rift
that has been steadily growing for more than a decade.
The iceberg, which is positioned on the most northern major
ice shelf in Antarctica, known as Larsen C, is predicted to be one of the
largest 10 break-offs ever recorded.
Hi guys, today we will deal with an important topic which is changing our world: global warming. This phenomenon is creating many problems and troubles to our health and lifestyle, so, to fight it, we must know what global warming means and what it could cause in the future. First of all we must know that the global warming is caused by the extreme CO2 emissions in the atmosphere which are provoking the decrease of the ozone layer, the glacier melting, the deforestation and the climate change.
A SUPERMOON is a coincidence of a full moon with closest
approach the moon makes to the earth on its elliptical orbit resulting in the
largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from earth.
“Supermoon” isn’t actually an astronomic word but it makes
the phenomenon visually clearer than thousands of words. When this happens …
the moon becomes full at 14:52 but it can be found under the horizon. The moon
rises at 17:18, when the sky is still dark.
This video was made by NASA.
On 14
November 2016, the supermoon was 356,511 kilometres away from the centre of the
earth. The next supermoon will be on 25 November 2034.
… we are terribly scared, of course. It often happens,
unfortunately, where we live, that is, in the centre of Italy. But what is an
earthquake?
An earthquake is the percepitible shaking of the
surface of the Earth, resulting from the sudden release of energy in the
Earth’s crust that creates seismic waves. Earthquakes can be quite violent,
they can throw people to the ground and destroy entire cities.
There have beenseveral
strong earthquakes in the last years in Italy. On April 6 2009, a magnitude
6.3 eartquake shook L’Aquila killing more than 300 people and injuring 1,500
others. It damaged many buildings and landmarks, such as the medieval church in the picture (left).
It hasn’t been completely rebuilt yet.
