Mexico
Day of the Dead : it’s a typical festival celebrated
according to Mexican customs. The original name is “Dìa de Muertos”. It starts
exactly on 31 October and ends 1-2 November because these days coincide with the Christian celebrations of
all saints. This festivity reclaims the themes of the Colombian traditions; during
these festive days there is music, typical foods and, above all, people disguise themselves with macabre
clothes and paint their faces with the typical portraits of Death. A Mexican
Halloween?
