WHAT IS WEF?

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an international organization that deals with global economic and social issues. It was founded in 1971 by Klaus Schwab, who is still president and CEO of the organization today. The idea to create WEF came to him during a trip to India in 1968, where he met with a wide range of industry and government leaders and noticed the lack of a platform to discuss economic and social issues globally.

BLACK ROCK CITY

 

Once a year, tens of thousands of people gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. In this crucible of creativity, all are welcome.

 

THE RED CARPET OF THE MET GALA 2022

 

The Met Gala, otherwise known as the first Monday of May, has returned once again! After being canceled in 2020 and held in September last year, the sumptuous event returns this year to its usual time. At the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the celebrities of the A-list are ARRIVTE on the red carpet to celebrate the new museum exhibition, in America: an Anthology of Fashion, which will serve as an exploration of American fashion. The exhibition will be presented in 13 rooms inside the museum, and will present design works signed by Bill Blass, Brooks Brothers, Lloyd Kiva New and many others.

The Titanic is ready to go back sailing! Well, truth is that in 2022, a replica of the world’s most famous ocean liner will make its maiden voyage, exactly 110 years after the now legendary sinking.

Hi everyone, this is my last 2018 post and, you know,  I’d like to share with you my top three best moments. Are you ready?

HARRY POTTER: THE EXHIBITION!

This is your chance to dive into the famous wizard’s magical world with Harry Potter: The Exhibition! Boston, Toronto, Chicago, New York, Seattle, Sydney, Singapore, Madrid, Paris! And it has also came to Milan, on 11 May 2018 and it is going to close in September.  There’s time enough to plan and go, you have no excuses.

What can you see?

Do you wonder what to expect? You’ll see the films’ most popular locations just like the Gryffindor common room and the dormitory, famous classrooms like Potions and Herbology. The Forbidden Forest which are filled with thousands of authentic props, costumes, and creatures. And… don’t worry! The forest is forbidden only for Harry and his friends!

 There are beautiful environments and displays, not to mention some amazing interactive elements. You can enter the Quidditch area and toss a Quaffle ball. What about pulling your own Mandrake in the Herbology classroom? Now, you can do it! And so forth and so on! What are you waiting for? Go, buy your ticket!

A VERY ROMANTIC ROYAL WEDDING

Who would ever have thought Prince Harry could fall in love with a common girl and decide to marry her so early?

Prince Harry is the more rebellious of Lady D’s two sons. There are many stories about his wild parties and he had never been engaged before.

He had never been in a hurry to settle down like his brother William but now that he got married, he was able to create something wonderful, something nobody expected.

MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY

Today, Monday 16th January, it's a special day in the USA. It is "Martin Luther King Day" (or King Day or MLK Day) and this is a federal holiday. It is celebrated annually on the 3rd Monday of January to commemorate the birthday of American civil rights leader Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr (15th January 1929). 

Martin Luther King was hugely influential in the American Civil Rights Movement (despite never holding public office) and was a major advocate of non-violent activism in the struggle for the end of racial discrimination under US law. He was assassinated in 1968.

2016 WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR ...

2016 is about to end and we want to remember the events that have marked this year. There are too many events to mention so,  unfortunately, we have had to omit some. Here are the 8 ones we think must be remembered.

THE GOLDEN BALL

The Golden Ball is a football award instituted in 1956 by a sport French magazine called France Football. Every year it is assigned to the best footballer who plays for an European club. To win this award you must be strong and you must win a competition with your team.

IN MEMORY OF PAUL WALKER

Three years have passed since the death of a famous actor, Paul Walker. He was an actor and a filmmaker and everybody knows him because he starred in the street racing action film Fast & Furious as Brian O'Conner. We've personally loved this actor since we saw the first film of the Fast And Furious series. Even though it is the most famous film he starred in, it isn't the only one he was in! For example, he was also in "Into the blue", "Hours", "Vehicle 19" and "Brick Mansions". To remember Paul Walker here's to you 9 curiosities about him:
