ME BEFORE YOU AND ITS CONTROVERSIAL CONTENT

Me Before You was written by Jojo Moyes in 2012  and it was adapted into a film in 2016.

Me Before You follows a young woman named Louisa Clark, who struggles personally and financially after losing her job at a café. She becomes a care assistant to a disabled man, Will Traynor.  He is taciturn and bitter in the wake of becoming injured, while Louisa is fearful and directionless. The two seem to have little in common: Will is wealthy, cultured and angry, while Lou is working-class and friendly. However, their relationship quickly deepens, and as the result, Louisa and Will help one another to explore dark moments in the past and consider the best direction for their futures.

BRIDGERTON: FEW EXPECTATIONS, GREAT SATISFACTION

I usually have a thousand expectations when I start watching a new tv series and then I find myself disappointed,  but this time, strangely enough, it didn’t happen and, instead,  I was truly impressed though I didn’t expect much from the new Shondaland series. Today I would like to share something about my latest surprising discovery with you, without spoiling the pleasure of watching for you if you haven’t seen it yet. LET’S START!

IS RON WEASLEY GOING TO COME BACK?

I think we have all heard of or many of us seen the Harry Potter saga at least once in our life!  It has now been 9 years since the last film and now we are talking about a return to the big screen.

TO ALL THE BOYS, P.S. I STILL LOVE YOU

Yesterday I saw a beautiful film and I think it was perfect for Valentine's day. It is the sequel of the movie "To all the boys I've loved before", called "To all the boys, P.S. I still love you". It is adapted from a best-selling series of books and it's an interesting addition to a story of young love that doesn't end with the first big swoon.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A FAN OF VAMPIRES TO LOVE TWILIGHT

The Twilight Saga

The first time I heard about it, I was studying at home with a friend of mine, who told me about this saga, Twilight.  I couldn’t wait to see the films so I started asking her questions about it. “You don’t have to be a fan of vampire stories to  like these films”, she said. “The Twilight saga talks about a girl, Bella Swan, who fell in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen. From the day she saw him, everything changed”. That was enough, I saw the films and … here I am! I am a huge fan now.

This saga is made up of 5 films: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn part 1 and Breaking Dawn part 2.  My favourite ones are Breaking Dawn part 1 and 2 because Bella is transformed into a vampire by Edward after nearly dying living birth to Renesme, Bella and Edward’s daughter.

WONDER: YOU CAN'T BLEND IN WHEN YOU WERE BORN TO STAND OUT

This extremely successful novel was published in 2012 since then over 5 million people have read it.

Anyone who's read WONDER by R.J. Palacio has fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face. A very moving film based on the book was relased in December 2017 starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Jacop Tremblay.

REMEMBERING ALAN RICKMAN

Last year with Alan Rickman’s departure Hollywood lost a great actor, his family, friends and colleagues mourn him still today. Many actors and actresses remembered him because Alan Rickman was such an extraordinary man. Only positive memories and remarks for him! A special one was released by J.K.Rowling, but she wasn’t the only one.

“ There are no words to express how shocked and devastated I am to hear of Alan Rickman's death. He was a magnificent actor & a wonderful man. My thoughts are with Rima and the rest of Alan's family. We have all lost a great talent. They have lost part of their hearts.”
