A JOURNEY INTO THE FUTURE

Nowadays, electric cars are increasingly conquering space within the automotive market and bringing about great changes in the car industry, and one of them is certainly the luxurious Tesla, fully electric car with the fastest acceleration in the world. world. These quiet, non-polluting, high-performance vehicles could make internal combustion engines obsolete by 2025.

UNKNOWN SUPERCARS

We all know the popular brands that produce super cars: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Maserati, McLaren… but how many of you know these semi-unknown hyper cars,  instead? Everyone likes supercars, that’s for sure. But what is the point of owning such an exclusive car if the same car has been produced in hundreds or even thousands of specimens?

MY BEST FAVOURITE CARS

Today I'm going to talk to you about my best favourite cars ever starting from an Italian car, Ferrari F40.

 FERRARI F40

The first car I want to talk to you about is my favourite Ferrari, F40. Model created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the house, it was a very fast berlinetta designed by Pininfarina, built with extensive use of composite materials. The refined and highly performing mechanics combined with a chassis of the highest order made it a car with excellent dynamic qualities, very close to those of a racing prototype. Despite being a street legal car. Although it was only 1987 the F40 managed to exceed 300 km/ h reaching almost 330 km/h, and had 478 horsepower. Even if it is more than 30 years old it is one of my absolute favourite cars for its design but above all for its technical features that at that time were just incredible.

PAGANI HUAYRA R

Released less than a week ago, the new Pagani Huayra R is already talking about itself. It is the most extreme Pagani ever made but it can only go on the track. It is fitted with a new naturally aspirated Pagani V-12 engine, it has 850 horsepower and 750 nm of torque. This new engine goes up to 9000 rpm to provide maximum performance. All this in just 1050 kg. Only 30 were produced, for 30 lucky ones who will be able to enjoy it only on the track, for the modest sum of 2.6 million euros.

BUGATTI BOLIDE

The latest car announced by Bugatti car manufacturer will be called Bugatti Bolide and will have this name because it is a real racing car. It was built on the basis of its predecessor, Bugatti Chiron. The new Bugatti is an ultralight vehicle that mounts a w16 engine that distributes 1825 horsepower. One of the most interesting features is certainly the coating applied on the vehicle roof. If you maintain low speeds, the surface remains smooth, while at high speeds "bubbles" form in such a way as to reduce aerodynamic drag by 10%.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE CAR? HERE'S MINE!

Everyone, especially supercars and hypercars fans, likes one car more than others. All drivers, I think, have a dream car, a car that they have loved since they were kids.

People’s favourite cars can be a cheap, can be luxury, but their favourite car is the one that makes them happy whenever they drive it. In my opinion,  this is what favourite car means: the car that makes you happy. But let’s talk about me.

RALLY LEGENDS: LANCIA DELTA INTEGRALE

Maybe it is a forgotten car now, but history doesn’t lie. The Lancia Delta  was born in 1979 as a normal, mediocre car. Giorgetto Giugiaro, a famous Italian designer and engineer, who had already projected the legendary Fiat Panda, created a new car with Lancia, that at first was unsuccessful but time has proven him right.

Between 1979 and 1987 Lancia produced 4 generations of the car, and every year the engineers introduced many upgrades of the engine, suspensions, inside quality and also of the body of the car. Actually, the legendary Delta HF integrale was born only in 1986. The last generation of Delta was the more successful. Producer added another powerful engine (in addition to the 1.3 68HP, 1.5 85HP Gasoline), the new 1.6 liter engine, supercharged by a turbo and with about 170 HP.

2-STROKE VS 4-STROKE ENGINES

You may have noticed I’m fond of cars and engines. That’s also why I’d like to be an engineer one day. Today I’m going to describe the most common types of car engines. You may have heard the terms 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines before, but do you really know all of the differences in their operation? I hope my post and the video below may help if you don't.

The combustion engines are the most common type of engine with regard to means of transport like motorcycles, cars, busses and trucks but they are used also for small power tools like lawn mowers and chainsaws. In one of my articles in the blog I mentioned how they work but these two types have a small difference that change how they are made and used. How it works? A piston connected to the crankshaft by means of a connecting rod, flows up and down in a cylinder thanks to the force generated by the explosions of a mixture of air and gasoline. The connecting rod has the task of transforming the piston motion into a rotary motion.  But let’s talk about the differences about 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.

HERE WE GO LAMBORGHINI!

Lamborghini is one of the most popular car brands in the world. It produces supercars like Huracan and Aventador but in its history they also produced other types of vehicles. But when and how  was Lamborghini founded?

THE 10 FASTEST CARS IN THE WORLD

Once there were few cars capable of exceeding 400 km/h, but this is no longer the case. So let’s see which are the 10 fastest cars in the world. They all axceed abundantly 300 km/h and, at the same time, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about three seconds. What is it to build such powerful cars and to enter the 10 fastest in the world? It  is first of all power and then the aerodynamics, both to penetrate the air and to prevent the car from tacking off. It may seem paradoxical, but the speeds involved are higher than many small planes. Returning to my ranking, I lined up the cars (from the least to the fastest) checking that they are currently in production and that they are approved for road use.

ENGINES FOR THE FUTURE

One of the most important problems in the world is air pollution. Industrial  production, transports and many human activities essential to welfare and survival pollute our planet. So we need to find new ways to produce things and to travel.
In this article I’m focusing on the automotive industry and what it’s been invented to reduce emissions.
