ALLIED - MOVIE REVIEW BY ELISA

Today I want to tell you about a beautiful movie: Allied! I saw Brad Pitt’s new film Allied and I can say that it is fantastic. Allied is a World War II romantic thriller film directed by Robert Zemeckis.
At the beginning of the movie,   Max Vatan, a Royal Canadian Air Force intelligence officer,  travels to Casablanca in French Morocco to assassinate the German ambassador.

His partner is a French Resistance fighter named Marianne Beausejour. Marianne and Max pretend to be married and they kill the ambassador. They  fall in love and they decide to go to London. Marianne discovers she is pregnant. During a bombing, Marianne gives birth to a baby girl named Anna. A year later Max learns from the Special Operations Executive that Marianne is suspected of being a Germany spy. So Max is ordered to write a piece of false intelligence at home, where Marianne can find it. If the information is picked up from intercepted German transmission, Max must personally kill her. He doesn’t believe that his wife is a German spy. But not everything is as it seems...

I think that allied is one of the best movies I have seen.  It is   historical, romantic   and a thriller   and I like this mixture a lot.
The beginning of the movie , in which Max Vatan parachutes into endless North African desert, is very beautiful. Then there is the meeting between Max and his partner.. I knew immediately that Marianne and Max would fall in love.
What about the scene in which Marianne has a rifle in her hand?

AWESOME!!!

After the attack to the German ambassador, Marianne and Max go to London and here we discover that she is pregnant. One of the best scenes is when Marianne gives birth to a beautiful baby girl during a bombing. This scene wants to show the conditions in which people actually were during the World War II.
When Max is told that his wife is a German spy, I couldn’t believe it. I was astonished when Max tried, in every way, to find the truth about his wife.

BEWARE OF HUGE SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!

At the end of the movie, I heard a general cry throughout the theatre: when he brings her into the bar and he asks her to play the piano,  when she tells him that she actually  is the spy but they decide to escape with their daughter. But the most touching scene is when she greets their daughter,  Anna, gets out, tells Max “je t’aime” and  kills herself.   I was so  moved!

I ADVISE EVERYONE TO SEE THIS MOVIE BECAUSE IT IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL!
