OUR QUOTE LIBRARY PART 2

Hi everyone! Books are our best friends always generous and helpful with their great tips, suggestions, reflections, ideas which help us face life and know ourselves. This is why we love collecting quotes, writing them down in notebooks, scrapbooks or personal journals. Do you do that too? Great! Here’s some good ones we picked up from great books we read.

“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.”
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Paulo Coelho's enchanting novel has inspired devoted readers around the world. It is the story of an Andalusian shepherd named Santiago who travels from his homeland in Spain to the Egyptian desert in search of a treasure that is in the Pyramids. Along the way, he meets a Gypsy woman. No one knows what the treasure is, or if Santiago will be able to find it.

“You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself any direction you choose, you’re on your own and you know what you know and you are the one who’ll decide where to go.”
Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You'll Go!

In this ode to life, Dr. Seuss gives people of all ages the “get-up-and-go to move mountains” with unrivalled exuberance.

“Without music, life would be a mistake.”
Friedrich Nietzsche, Twilight of the Idols

It is Friedrich Nietzsche’s last work containing the gist of all his philosophy. “Twilight of the idols” is a complex but very interesting book for lovers of philosophical analysis.

“There is some good in this world, and it’s worth fighting for.”
 J.R.R. Tolkien, The Two Towers

In the second novel of Tolkien's trilogy, the members of the Fellowship of the Ring are struggling separately. The forces of evil keep on scaring the Middle Earth but the heroes still try to fight them and undertake great missions and face several adventures and misadventures. There’s so much to learn from these books!

“The goal isn't to live forever; the goal is to create something that will.”
Chuck Palahniuk, Diary

Since she married Peter, a fellow student at art school, Misty came to live on Waytansea island. Now Peter, after an obscure suicide attempt, is lying in hospital in a coma. Misty keeps a diary for when he comes back to consciousness. Like other works by Chuck Palahniuk, the main theme is the supernatural and the mysterious.

“Our minds sometimes see what our hearts wish were true.”
Dan Brown, Angels & Demons

It’s one of Dan Brown best selling novels. A mystery to be solved, a thrilling investigation mostly set in Rome, with incredible twists and turns. It tells about the “Illuminati”, an ancient sect of scientists persecuted in the Middle Ages by the Catholic Church
