MY TOP 3 QUENTIN TARANTINO MOVIES

Hello! Alex T. here. Guess what? I am fond of  Tarantino’s films and I really hope he will release a new one  soon. Meanwhile, since I love rewatching them  too, I have some good  recommendations for you.

PULP FICTION (1994)

It is an American comedy, thriller and crime movie. Its plot is presented out of chronological order. The story is set in Los Angeles and it tells about two killers who have to retrieve a briefcase for their boss, the gangster Marsellus Wallace. Meanwhile in a cafeteria in Los Angeles, a couple, hold up the restaurant. The main characters of the film are Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta (who revitalized his career with this movie), Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis and Tim Roth. Stellar cast! Also Tarantino appears in a scene of the film.

DJANGO UNCHAINED (2012)

It is an American revisionist Western, starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo Di Caprio and Samuel L. Jackson. The film grossed over $425 million worldwide, against its $100 million of its budget, making it Tarantino’s highest grossing theatrical release.

In 1858, Texas, Django is a slave who is freed by an ex-dentist, Dr. Schultz. But Django has to become a bounty hunter with him. The target of this couple is to find Broomhilda, Django’s wife and now a slave. They discover that Broomhilda is in “Candie land” and she works for Mr. Candie.

THE HATEFUL EIGHT (2015)

It is an American revisionist Western mystery film. It is divided into six chapters and the main actors are Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins and Tim Roth.
Tarantino announced The Hateful Eight in November 2013, but it was cancelled after the script was leaked a few months later. He rewrote part of the screenplay and the shooting started in December 2014. Ennio Morricone’s soundtrack for the film won the Oscar!

For those few who still don’t know who Tarantino is …

Quentin Tarantino is an American director, writer and actor. He began his career with the release of “Reservoir Dogs” in 1992, but   got to fame  with “Pulp Fiction” in 1994.  Its popularity was boosted by “Kill Bill”, a reimagining of Chinese martial arts, interpreted by Uma Thurman. This film is divided into two movies, Kill Bill volume 1 (2003) and Kill Bill volume 2 (2004), because the original film was too long.  Another famous film by Tarantino is “Inglourious Bastards”, released in 2009. It is the story of a group of Jewish-American soldiers during World War II. In the 2010s he released two western movies: “Django Unchained” and “The Hateful Eight”. He won two Oscars for the best original screenplay with Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained.

His films are characterized by non-linear storylines, violence and shooting scenes, extended scenes of dialogue and their long duration. Tarantino’s films have also got wonderful soundtracks, often written by  Italian Ennio Morricone.
