WELCOME TO COACHELLA

If you want to have fun with your friends and you like all kinds of music COACHELLA FESTIVAL MUSIC It's the perfect party for you. It's a music festival that takes place every year in California, in the United States of America. Usually it's a 2-3 days long event (usually in April). The festival features several music groups that play different genres, with a preference for electronic, rock, indie and hip hop music.

It has a long story: everything started in 1979 but it was not so successful. It hadn't been a famous festival until 1999 when a large number of people went there and started to be famous.

Coachella has returned on an annual basis started in April 2001, as a single-day event. In 2002, the festival reverted to a two-day format.

Each Coachella festival staged from 2013 to 2015 increased festival attendance and gross revenues. The 2016 festival sold 198,000 tickets and grossed $94.2 million.

Last edition ended was really successfu!

CURIOUS FACTS ABOUT Coachella Festival:

- LUCKY CHARM

People say Coachella brings luck. That’s the reason why every band wants to go there. This year The Gun's N' Roses were there!

- ASTRONAUTS

The giant mascot between the palms and the panoramic wheel was built by Tyler Hanson of Poetic Kinetics and it is really huge: 36 feet tall. It is quiet during the day, instead  during the night it flies over the audience

- KATE MOSS vs RIHANNA

If Glastonbury means Kate Moss wearing ''galosh'', the Coachella is more American: it reveals Rihanna's uncomplicated street look, while her sweet rival, Katy Perry, always takes an excuse for dying her hair.

- WHAT TO DRINK

The festival is situated in a Californian valley, America's cattle cradle, here's wine in the Cupcake Vineyards label jars. But there are also sponsors such as Heineken and, in the backstage or Vip passes, Absolut vodka.

- WHAT TO EAT

Not hamburgers - even if they don't lack – but the Pink Hot Dog,  created in the 1970s in Los Angeles.  Warning! Chili sauce abounds. For healthy food fans the solution is easy and fresh: watermelon slices!

- WHERE TO SLEEP

Eleven different locations for (almost) the same number of ways to live the festival: you can go  to a traditional camping site (what happiness to sleep in the mud,  eh?) to Lake Cahuilla Recreation at the Emerald Desert Resort. You can also choose the camper's paradise (the Hippy Traveler) at Place to Be, the Joshua Tree National Park.

- THE PROGRAM

The line-up in the centre and below is always the same, magical, visual. The sunset on the Coachella Valley, the true quintessence of the festival made of palm trees and deserted mountains behind. A ''buen retiro'' to watch when the sound is too deafening.

580 thousand tickets sold in less than 40 minutes, nicknamed the "Woodstock of the 2000s", this event has reached a global popularity in a few years, becoming a synonym for space outside the world, where the music and the new trends, which will be generated, are all that matters.

It is a place where you can see and be seen, the festival is a favorite destination of today's influencers.

The concerts follow and overlap, the arenas to choose from are 6 and play from 11am to 11pm. Radiohead, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar have been the top stars of the two weekend this year.

An event dedicated to free spirits and 360 degree entertainment cannot stop at the musical part.

Let's forget the usual music festivals. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an independent art, emerging trends, innovative street food aggregator.
