The anti-Covid vaccination has gone on for almost a year now, but the pandemics just seems never to give us pause! On the news we hear about thousands and thousands of deaths every day. Politicians and scientists seem very worried and the same is for all of us. In 2020, at the beginning of the Covid pandemics,  we were all hopefully waiting for a vaccine to come out, which may have solved all our issues.  Unfortunately, we still are living in a very complex situation, though in Italy at least, the majority of people have been vaccinated.

Hi everyone, unluckily this Covid-19 situation continues and gives us no peace, forcing us to remain closed in our houses in order to stay safe.

We all know that it can be stressful to spend every day doing the same things so I’d like to try to share some tips in order to spend our time in lockdown better.

COVID-19, DISTANCE AND HUMAN RELATIONSHIP

 

Thoughts, emotions and feelings have been changed drastically by the pandemic. Covid-19 demands physical distance and sees a potential enemy in our neighbour, so our habits have been questioned and are changing and adapting to new social behaviours.

2020: A YEAR OF CATASTROPHES

 

We ended 2019 with a problem that lasted for months and that damaged Australia: a terrible forest fire that destroyed millions of hectares. If 2019 left us with the Earth burning; 2020 was no less; indeed it was a year of misfortunes and catastrophes since the beginning.

 

THE BIGGEST EPIDEMICS IN HISTORY

Given this time when there is a lot of talk about coronavirus, this month I would like to talk about the biggest epidemics in history.

Epidemics have always accompanied Man's history. Some of these such as plague, smallpox or Spanish flu have changed the history of humanity for their demographic, social and economic effects.

Before I start talking about epidemics, I have to say that epidemic deseases can be divided into four families:

BEING ITALIAN AT THE TIME OF COVID-19

We are a small country, maybe, but we are in the dreams of billions of people all around the world.

They hope, once in their life, to be able to see our country, to admire the largest and most beautiful open-air museum in the world, to enter the Duomo of Milan, to be fascinated by the magic of Venice, by the solemnity of San Pietro, by the Uffizi in Florence, Positano, Capri, the beaches of Sicily and Sardinia, and much more.

CAN SOMEONE PREDICT THE FUTURE?

In the last weeks the only thing you can hear spoken of everywhere is coronavirus. Because of this virus the world has stopped and all the news focus on its devastating effects. The number of the victims all over the world is  increasing as well as the figures related to the infected.

The situation is getting worse in every country in the world and for this reason the WHO, the World Health Organization, labelled it as a pandemic. We are all quarantined and it seems that this situation won’t stop on the 3^rd April, as they first announced,  but it will probably continue for some other months.

DEAR 2020

Dear 2020, 

let's talk about recent and current events.

You started with winds of war between Iran and the Usa, which, fortunately, subsided after a while, and with the whole Australia that was set on fire. However, that was just the beginning!

Several things happened in February... The sudden death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter upset the world; in Antarctica the record heat of 20.7 degrees was recorded; Brexit came into effect definitively; once again there were tensions between Egypt and Italy over the arrest of Patrick Zaky, who brought back the memory of Giulio Regeni; and then the coronavirus began to spread around the world.
