BEING FAMOUS

Hi everyone! Welcome back to our blog. Today we're going to talk about being famous and rich, a very interesting topic. Let’s discover more!

Being famous and rich is one of the life goals of many  young people. There are people who like becoming public property, being acknowledged by the others and being at the centre of their attention; but there are  other who don’t like that so much. Of course, we can say  that there are both advantages and  disadvantages in being popular.

BEING A TEENAGER CAN BE VERY DIFFICULT, CAN'T IT?

Hi guys! Welcome back to our blog.  How are you? I hope you are all coping, I know these are difficult days for everyone. But, let's see what's positive:  now we have a lot of time to spend on self-improvement, doing our homework, chatting with friends, reflecting on what is important or…writing a new post for our blog!

Today I’m going to talk about teenage issues related to our generation. I’m thinking of alcohol, drugs, violence, bullying, anorexia, self-harm and so on.

Even though many young people try not to talk about these topics,  though they experience them directly or indirectly,  they find it difficult to open up and hide the truth to themselves and to the others.

TEENS & DRUGS

Hi guys! Welcome back to our blog. How are you? I'm Giacomo, and today I would like to write about an important issue, especially for us teenager.
We're in a very, very strange phase of our life, and it's impossible to not get in touch with new things: sometimes, for a variety of reasons, we happen to get in touch with a new world, but it's a very dangerous one: drugs.

TEEN HEROES - JAZZ JENNINGS

Hi guys, we all know that to be free and happy we have to be ourselves but for someone it’s not always that easy! Because for somebody being him/herself can mean to go against society.
This is the case of Jazz Jennings a young transsexual woman.
I’m going to use only female pronouns even when telling you about when she was a biologiacal man because in my opinion you can be whatever you feel even if it doesn’t match the gender you were born!!!

She was born on the 6th of October 2000 in south Florida and when she was about five years old she already knew she was a girl and not a boy so she told  her family that she was a transgender girl and luckily they always supported her. We all know that families do not always accept and support that kind of things but fortunately she was born in a family with open-minded opinions and that’s very rare for a Florida family, because that’s a state known to be a conservative one.

INSATIABLE- SHOULD YOUR APPEARANCE INFLUENCE ALL YOUR LIFE?

What counts the most?  Your appearance or who you really are? Just 7 words: “don’t judge a book by its cover”.

Just a few days ago Netflix released the second season of Insatiable.
Insatiable is a tv series, starring Debby Rayan as main protagonist. It is about Patty (Debby) that is overweight and for this reason she has just one friend while all the others bully her and call her ‘Fatty Patty’.

INVISIBLE

Everyone happens to feel alone or powerless sometimes. In the last years, there’s been an increase of teenagers suffering from this state of mind and having consequentially repercussions on their lives.  There are several reasons why a teenager can feel “invisible”, one of them  is that we live in a society full of prejudices  and very competitive, where everyone is judged.
Something we believe has been experienced by everyone at least once in their life, is the feeling of being invisible. If we could see all of our memories in front of us like on a movie, we're sure we’d all find that particular moment in which we felt like we were alone in the world, and it's not so fun at all. We could define this type of invisibility as 'harmless', because, sooner or later, we find a way out of it. However, there are some people who are not able to come out of it so easily, people who feel like this all their lives.
On the contrary to what is generally assumed, feeling invisible is a common experience, especially among teenagers, so among us. Actually, we feel that people do not think about this problem at all, and that's why we do not even realize it also affects the closest people we have.
