On May 25,
Minneapolis police officers arrested George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, after
he was accused of buying cigarettes with a counterfeit $20 bill. 20 minutes
after the first squad car arrived at the scene, Mr. Floyd was unconscious and
pinned beneath three police officers, showing no signs of life.
The police
officer, Derek Chauvin, pushed his knee on George Floyd’s neck and after about
8 minutes he died…
Immediately
a very big group of people began to protest in a peaceful way against these
abuse of violence from police officers.
During these
days we have been seeing violent protests and as we’ve often seen in the past,
real world protest and violence is usually accompanied by attacks on the
Internet. This past week has been no exception. The shocking murder of George
Floyd on May 25 was followed by cyberattacks, particularly cyberattacks on
advocacy organizations fighting racism, especially Anonymous.
Anonymous
revealed some secrets about Trump’s corruption.
In my opinion
Trump won’t win the next elections after all these troubles.
All around
the world people are organizing peaceful protest to support the movement #BlackLivesMatter.
I can’t go
to Rome to support this cause next Saturday (6th june), but I’ll be there in
spirit.
On my social
account especially on my Instagram, (@lorenzomioni), I’m sharing and posting
many photos to let my followers know about this situation and to try to bring
them closer to this cause…
In my
opinion if you are silent in these situations you stand on the oppressor’s side.
NO JUSTICE,
NO PEACE, NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE, RACIST POLICE…
