Hello guys, and welcome back to our blog. Everybody knows how difficult it is to make a film, it needs a lot of time and work, and mainly perseverance.
The safety of the workers is the main
thing to watch out, because no one would like to shoot a film without any care for their safety.
Injuries and accidents usually don’t happen, because there are several rules to respect and nowadays the equipments are safer and more reliable, but perfection doesn’t exist and sometimes injuries can happen. But not always the bad comes to hurt and the injuries I would like to list fit in the scene and are so perfect that they were put in the film, making the film more realistic and gripping.
Mirrors are not friendly
After losing an important scoop, stressed and pissed off, Jake’s character started yelling against a mirror in the bathroom in his house, crushing it in hundreds of pieces and Jake’s cut his hand. The actor kept on with the scene, but he needed forty stitches for that cut.
One centimetre from a nail
Mark Shultz is a professional wrestler, who lost an important match. While he was coming back to the dressing room, whiny and angry, he was punching himself and as soon as he saw a mirror he banged his head against it for three times, missing a nail for only one centimetre and risking piercing his head.
Ahh, Jesus!
In the first chapter, Rambo hanged on a canyon, he was chased by Washington Police and, he was about to be hit by a bullet from a sniper who was on a helicopter. When he jumped down landing on trees, he fell hitting his chest on a branch, breaking a rib and shouting “Ahh! Jesus”. That painful accident is now a scene in the movie.
Who breaks something pays and the crocks are his
The film Django is set at the time of slaving America, and the
protagonist wants to save his wife from
a slave camp, Candyland, ruled by Calvin Candie, who figures out Django’s plan.
Rampaging his wrath, Django bangs his hand on a table and, accidentally breaks a glass, sticking the resulting crocks in his
hand. Di Caprio carried on with the
scene with his bleeding hand making it breath-taking .

Five times are too many
In “The Lord of the Rings” perfection was the goal of director Peter Jackson. To make a kick to a helmet as realistic as possible, in order to convey Aragon’s wrath for losing a friend, Peter Jackson made them shoot the scene five times, until Viggo Mortensen, kicking the helmet for the fifth time, made the scene perfect. But no one can imagine Viggo’s shout was in real pain, in fact he broke two finger of his foot making this scene.
So, have you ever seen these films, which is your favourite and have you
ever imagined these scenes were real? Leave a comment below to join the
discussion. I’ll see you next month,
bye!
