Introduction
I've always had a problem creating WhatsApp
stickers, in fact, if on one side there are a lot of apps, they always have to
be installed in your smartphone and some contain advertisements or in-app
purchases to unlock advanced features nor unlimited sticker creation. That’s
bad for normal users who only want to make stickers to share with their
friends.
What you need to start with
-
A computer (it
cannot be made with a smartphone);
-
A browser (it can be
Chrome, Firefox or any other);
-
An Internet
connection, of course;
-
WhatsApp Web opened
(if you haven’t got it, just click here and follow the instructions).
Create a (note) group with yourself only
(?!?!)
Yes, it could be confusing… a group with ...only you.
To do it, you just need to make a new
WhatsApp group, then add a friend (you can’t create a group with only you
directly), then delete your friend just after the new group is created. Now,
you have an entire chat you can write anything to remember, such as notes.
Watch out: before doing this, make sure to warn your friend,
he/she could receive the notification of group adding and deleting…
Let’s create our sticker
Make sure to have your sticker photo ready
on your computer and your “notes group” selected before continuing.
Open the stickers menu by clicking on the
“face” button (1), clicking the same
button once more if needed (2),
then go to recent (it’s a watch icon, 3),
then click on “Create” (plus button, 4),
finally choose your photo and import it.
Add more content to your sticker
Now you are free to modify (1 and 6 to cut,
7 to go back and revert), add new text (4), other emoji (2), stickers (3) and
some draws (5) to make your sticker perfect.
When you’re done, click on the send button
(8), as you do with a simple message, and you should see your sticker ready in
a while.
Save you
sticker for a next use
Because the sticker you made isn’t a
sticker pack but just a sticker you need to save it in your favourite to use
with other chats. To do this, if you never made it, take your smartphone and
tap on the sticker, then “Add to favourite”. Now you just need to open the
sticker menu, “Favourite ”, and you can share it with your friends.
More about WhatsApp stickers feature
This feature has been introduced into
WhatsApp Web around November 2021, to add a simple way users can do their
stickers without any app. The good thing is that this feature should also come
into iOS and Android WhatsApp, so, you won’t need a computer, but we don’t know
when. For now, keep stickering!
