Halloween is
coming soon and horror will be the protagonist for a few days, and to inspire
horror what is it better than a cool frightening mask?
The masks I’ve picked up and I’m sharing with you in this post come from films or books and I think they’re perfect to create the right atmosphere for Halloween! Trick or treat? I mean, I’m ready to start. What about you? But I must warn you: you’re going to see scary, spooky stuff!
Hannibal Lecter
This mask is from "The Silence of the Lambs", where a cannibal
killer, Hannibal Lecter, kills and eat
his victims; but when he is discovered and imprisoned, a mask is put on his
face which covers all his face except
for the eyes and the mouth.
This mask got famous thanks to the killer who wears it, a smart killer
with his own style and an amazing mind.
Leatherface
The name already tells much of this mask, it was made by the killer with his prey's skin.
The mask comes
from "Don’t open that door". As we can see in the film, the mask is
accompanied by a saw, and because of that everyone who wears it at Carnival or
Halloween grasps a saw.
Ghost Face
We can say it
is the most famous among all these masks, it's cool and you can add a cloak to
create a more horrific vibe.
It is from the franchise "Scream", whose killer is hidden among a group of teenagers, and the most terrifying thing is that you start thinking he could be also one of your best friends!
Michael Myers
This is from the film "Halloween", and in this case we have a sort of legend, because he is immortal! He kills with standard equipment, a normal knife.
He is a mad
killer led by the wish to kill and kill, he can’t stop and all of this is caused
by his mental disease. The mask is an ordinary human face but very pale, which
is what makes it so scary.
Hockey Mask
We are at the top of my list where we find Jason Voorhees, and his hockey mask; why is it so popular? It is so popular thanks to a series of films, showcasing so many carnage scenes with his favourite weapon, a machete.
It is the
simplest mask but also the most iconic for Halloween, with a mask like this and
a machete as a gadget you will be like Jason!!!
