The first things that come to mind when thinking about the word "success" are money in huge quantities, countless material possessions and the knowledge of a large number of people. Most people who see men and women wearing expensive jewelry, designer clothes and shoes, driving luxury cars believe that success is measured by ownership. Those who have succeeded in achieving these objectives are considered "arrived", those who are not, however, a failure. For these, success is mainly determined by education, money and power, so the lack of these three requirements seem to be signs of failure.
According to this model, it should be noted that all the characteristics of success are external to the individual. They are all linked to the concept of ego, that is, the esteem that one has of oneself and that depends on other people or on material goods.
This model of success, however, presents a problem, many follow the formula: study a lot, work hard, meet the "right people" but they do not always really succeed because they follow the path followed by other people, like that of their parents and not the one they they feel like doing.
Many times success is also attributed to luck, luck still plays an important role in determining success, but only with it could success be short-lived.
According to the "model of being", success is measured by how we are: where we are now is our success and the only way to measure it is our judgment of ourselves. In this case, if that something that revolves around us goes wrong, we lose in the worst case a material good but not what is inside ourselves as it is impossible to steal.
Being successful in life means being able to reach a goal that you had previously set yourself but even when this does not happen, you should find success in just having tried with all your strength. True success in life requires a commitment to never stop fighting and to grit your teeth even in the hardest and most suffering situations. It is necessary to have the courage to project oneself at a distance in space-time and then reach each other.
A promising job and the apartment of your dreams are not enough to define yourself as successful, or even achieve a certain social position. Success is something deeper, it is looking in the mirror and smiling thinking about the past, the present and the future. Being able to be happy, first of all finding tranquility with ourselves without our smile depending on someone else. This means being successful in life.
