SHW IN MILAN

 

Wait a moment. What is SHW? A monster? Don’t worry it’s neither a monster nor a curse word.

WHO ARE SHW?

SHW is the acronym for Swedish House Mafia and it's a house music super group consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. They are all famous DJs and the trio is best known for their biggest hit single: Don't You Worry Child.

The name comes from some friends who called them "the Swedish mafia that plays house music."

The three Swedish producers have charted a discography that has influenced the course of music, paving the way for Scandinavian artists who have made dance and electronica their workhorses, such as Avicii and Kygo.

THEIR CAREER

 

Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso spent several years as solo DJs before finding a global audience together.

Although Angello and Ingrosso grew up as childhood friends in Stockholm, they were working on individual careers when they met Axwell (Axel Hedfors) in 2007.Then they formed their collective in 2008, but it wasn’t until 2010’s hit single One that the threesome began their rise as one of the biggest electronic acts in the world.

However, despite such hits like Save The World and Don't You Worry Child, on 24 June 2012, the group announced they would split up.Their final performance was at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami on 24 March 2013. For the next five years, Angello worked solo, while Axwell and Ingrosso performed as a duo, Axwell & Ingrosso.

On 25 March 2018, the group reunited with a surprise closing set at the 20th anniversary of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami.

PARADISE AGAIN WORLD TOUR

The group released their debut studio album, Paradise Again, on 15 April 2022 through their new label, Republic. Now, with their new album, they are ready to return to make whole crowds dance.

The 40-date world tour began on 29 July in Miami and it will end on 11 Novemberin Oslo.Then they will be at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami in March and also at the Creamfields North Festival in Daresbury in England on 29 August.

MEDIOLANUM FORUM

 

After more than two decades,  they made their Italian debut on 18 October 2022 at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan.

The DJs masterfully accompanied the audience by going over some of their greatest hits without forgetting their most recent project Paradise Again, including tracks like Red light and Antidote. For the final greetings Swedish House Mafia decided to drop their masterpieces: Don't You Worry Child and Save The World.

There was also a special guest, Zlatan Ibrahimović, also Swedish like them.
