LET'S TALK ABOUT HAPPINESS

Rich, lucky and healthy people are considered happy, but  not all of them are. Actually, I think those who do not sink into material welfare are happier, and above all those who have peaceful souls. Speaking philosophically,  we can say that happiness is within us, not outside.
People are convinced that to be happy you have to be free to do whatever  you want, you have to own  riches and you have to be loved. But is that true?

An obstacle to happiness are envy and jealousy , because they make  you desire revenge and confrontation.

Many people are not happy because to avoid remaining  isolated, they accept to imitate others renouncing being themselves. That  is a source of pain because they are practically giving up their freedom.

True happiness is rare  and it is an inner condition  more than the achievement of external goals or material possessions.

Man has always been   searching  for answers on the meaning of life, on the reason for his own happiness or unhappiness. When a person is an adult, whether or not to be happy depends on the answers given to these questions. For young people, however, happiness or unhappiness depends on everyday life, and also on how they feel about dealing with little things or unimportant events.

Many hypersensitive young people today are frustrated because they feel lonely and loneliness is one of the worst evils of our time. It leads them to being so unhappy,  to the point where life is unbearable for them.  Our lives seem  hectic and active, but in reality all values and desires are standardized.

The purpose of life is to be happy and the welfare society makes us believe that the solution is in wealth and power, as if to be happy we just need to accumulate,  as if you can get happiness if your senses are satisfied.

Today, unfortunately, many have forgotten undisputable values that should instead help us live. Many  act pushed by material needs, regardless of trampling their neighbors, blinded by their own selfishness. The barrier between licit and illicit has been broken down in the name of profit and in the hope of achieving satisfaction based on material goods.

Smiling for a blooming flower, for the sun that shines, for the spring that slowly returns are things that a child would probably do but a teenager or an adult, despite being happy to see these wonders,  does not have the courage to do it, it would be too embarrassing for them to be seen as childish or naive.

Although we have  so many things and so much freedom, we are not happy because happiness consists n a particular state of mind that makes us feel at peace with ourselves, satisfied with what we are, what we have, what we can give to others, happy to have a purpose in life.

Happiness is when you give love and understanding, when you learn tolerance  and act consequently.

It is not possible to give a precise definition of happiness, even scientists after years of study have not succeeded.

Being happy is something that you discover over time and which is not just smiling and being in a good mood.
