On the 28th of April tens of thousands of people started to protest in many Colombian cities  against the tax reform announced by the  government of President Iván Duque Márquez .

'' When people take to the streets  during a pandemic , it means that the government is more dangerous than the virus '', it was written on the placard of a protester .

Hello everyone! This is my last post for this school year and I’m going to talk about a film that I’ve recently seen and I’m really fond of!

BRADLEY COOPER AND LADY GAGA

Have you seen "A star is born"? That’s the film I want to write about.  It stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper and they are outstanding in their roles. I love Lady Gaga and her songs, and her voice makes me shiver every time. Although the film came out in 2018 I have only seen it now, three years after its release,  and I must say that it exceeded my expectations.

IMPOSSIBLE COLOURS

 

In his 1927 short story “The Colour out of Space” H.P. Lovecraft describes the arrival of a strange meteorite in a small farm in Massachusetts. The bizarre object disappears shortly after crashing, but leaves behind a substance of an unknown color. Not just a strange color, but a color no one has ever seen before. This colour has terrifying effects on the surrounding area, infecting it making it hostile to human life.

Japan is going to release Fukushima treated radioactive water into sea

Hello everyone!

I will talk about a fact that is the cause of discussions today. The water used to cool the reactors after the dramatic accident at Japan's Fukushima nuclear power plant will be thrown into the sea.

 Thousands of tanks full of radioactive liquid , for a total of 1.25 million tons, will therefore end up in the ocean . This was decided by the Japanese government, on the morning of Tuesday 13 March.

ANGELICA'S BOOKS: MARINA BY CARLOS RUIZ ZAFON

 

 

Marina is a gothic novel written by Carlos Ruiz Zafón and published for the first time in 1999.

This book tells about Oscar Drai and his adventure. At the beginning, Oscar recalls one of his memories, something happened to him fifteen years before, which he has pretended to forget.

Since I was a child, I have been fond of  dogs and, especially, of the German Shepherd. So, today, I just want to share my love with you. The German Shepherd or German Shepherd Dog is the most widespread and well-known dog breed in the world, called by many "Wolf Dog" for its similarities with the wolf in its general features. 

INFLUENCERS

 

It's information time! Almost everyone - teenager, adult, or elderly person - has a social media profile. If we take Instagram as an example there is always someone who has more followers than us and I mean big numbers. They are called influencers and by definition they are people who deal with "influencing” their followers through social media. Advertising products of any kind they manage to change people's opinions about  the products they normally used. They show off their lives  24/7 and have created a job where before there was only a waste of time.
