SIX CHRISTMAS TECH GIFTS UNDER 40 EUROS

Do you like tech (or do you know someone who likes tech)? If the answer is yes you need to know I can surprise you with 6 Christmas tech gifts which cost less than 40 euros!

So, let’s begin…

Amazon Alexa

To be tech, your house needs to be tech too! So, if you want a cheap (but good) vocal assistant with which you can play music or control your domotic house, Alexa is the perfect solution and there are two good alternatives for different types of rooms…

Echo Dot (3rd generation)

The basic Echo Dot it’s so beautiful, not so much bigger and it has a spectacular sound. The benefits are not terminated: you can even add another in the same room to create a stereo sound instead of a mono one and they can be also connected to your TV to have a better audio quality while watching your favorite series or films.

Echo Flex

If you don’t want to take so much space with Echo Dot, you could instead probably choose Echo Flex. It’s very small and it’s connected directly to the current so, for example, it can be the perfect solution for your bathroom or whatever room you don’t want to make too much tech but you always want to check.

The little disadvantage  of this little device is that the electrical outlet needs to be a horizontal plug type “shuko” or it will be turned 90 degrees on a side and that you can’t reproduce music on it; you can only receive Alexa response, but if you wish to play music, you can connect a bluetooth device to it!

Trackers (for your lost things)

The trackers below use advanced technologies to detect where the lost things are, but they aren’t GPS tracking devices, so, things you lost can be found in a precise way in about 50 meters, but not in the opposite part of the world. Both next devices can be found, if lost, by a network of people who use the same app (remember Apple AirTags can be found by all Apple devices in the world, instead Chipolo needs its app to be found).

Apple AirTags

If you or someone you want to give a gift to have/has an iPhone (11 or newer) an AirTag is perfect for you. It’s a small device to find whatever you want, with an integrated iOS app where you can find your lost objects with only a few centimeters of error, with a direction indicator, a ring sound helper and a battery that can go on for about a year.

Chipolo Classic 2G

Chipolo is the perfect alternative to AirTag, because it is a great device: it can make your phone ring if you can’t find it, it’s cheaper and is compatible also with Android devices and old iPhones. But it has disadvantages: lower ring sound, no direction indicator (you can only find your device by using a distance indicator or the ring), a lower battery life (about 6 months).

Pxwaxpy Power Bank

This power bank it’s the perfect device to charge your phone about 5 times. It looks like a phone and has a power indicator with a led. You can connect two USB devices at the same time and there is also a PD (power delivery) port that allows you to charge even faster (your connector needs to be compatible). Your power bank needs a charge? No problem, there is another port you can use to charge it, even while you are charging your devices with it.

Meross Wifi Smart Plug

This cheap smart plug it’s the best solution for your domotic house if you want to control non-domotic things. It supports 3680W and can be controlled by Alexa, Google Assistant and also with an intuitive and simple app. It also has some other good characteristics like programmed on/off and the on-plug button to control it also locally. A flaw I want to warn you about is that if you are out of your house and your internet connection doesn’t work correctly, there isn’t another way you can control it other than return to home and use the button.
