WHAT IS AN AUDIO RECORDING?

An audio recording is an electrical, digital or mechanical process that allows the acquisition of sound waves, such as the human voice, singing, or sound effects.

In this article I want to talk about 5 of the scariest audio recordings. 5 audio recordings of radio interference, interceptions from space and calls from 51 area ex-employees. They are among the most disturbing and mysterious audio recordings ever captured after the invention of the first phonograph in 1876. So turn off the lights and turn up the volume.

1-WKCR HIJACKING

           

In the mid-ninenties, at Columbia University’s WKCR station, listeners could relax by listening to pleasant music. The music stopped and was replaced with at first an annoying sound and then by a voice that at first could seem to say meaningless words. Once the recording was analyzed, a series of dates and names related to mortuary announcements emerged. Including the one of the creator of the atomic bomb, Robert Oppenheimer.

2-AREA 51: THE FRANTIC CALLER

            

The most secretive US base is known to the world as the symbol of the alien conspiracy. Many sources, more or less reliable, make believe that government hides alien aircraft recoverd since the Roswell accident in 1947. Other sources even swear by human-alien collaboration operating into the base. In 1997, Art Bell, a talk show host, received an unusual and unexpected phone call. On the other end of the phone there was a terrified man who was claiming to have worked at the base. The strange interlocutor spoke of ultra-dimensional aliens who had worked with the American government, who, according to the man, are not what they said they are. The rather frightened and desperate voice couldn’ t give the impression of a possible joke.

As you can hear in the phone call, the tone seems to be a real request for help. The former fugitive employee of area 51 explained that he was being hunted by the alien entities, which, infiltrating all sectors, wanted to control the fate of the human population with the help of our governments.

3-OPERATION WANDERING SOUL

            

The Vietnam War was bloody and without exception. Unconventional American weapons were cleared in the conflict. Among these, we have learned to get to know the chemical weapon Orange Agent or the Napalm installment over the years. In addiction to using weapons to kill the Vietcong, in the middle of the conflict, the Americans also experimented with psychological techniques capable of frightening enemy soldiers. One of these is called Operation Wandering Soul. The operation consisted of spreading frightening sounds and phrases in the forest that seemed to come from spirits and ghosts, inspired by the stories of local culture. These sounds had to make the Vietnamese soldiers escape among the trees.

4-RUSSIAN ACCIDENT

           

The Cold War saw the USA and the Soviet Union confront each other.  A war with blows of spies and technological challenges and the race of the space was one of the main rivalries between the 1960s and the 1970s. In the frenzy of the two most powerful nations of the time, several unmanned capsules were launched into orbit. Jurij Gagarin’ s first official recognized human flight of 12 April 1961 was the beginnig of the space age.

However, it seems that the Soviets sent other human begins in orbit during that year and that they weren’ t public due to the familure of the missions.

In May 1961 two radio amateur brothers from Turin, Achille and Giovanni Judica-Cordiglia, intertwined a mysterious radio comunication coming from the high orbit of the Earth. They heard and recorded the voice of a female astronaut. The woman, clearly afraid, speaks of an every increasing temperature rise inside her capsule. Later we hear the terror shine through her voice when a fire starts, more precisely she speaks of flames around the aircraft, and you can imagine the progressive terror of the astronaut in realizing that she is about to die. We can hypothesize that something has definetely gone wrong, with the inevitable crash or fusion of the spacecraft due to heat during the return to the Earth’s atmosphere.

5-HELL SOUNDS

            

In 1999 a Russian geologic expedition was sent to Siberia to study a tectonic plate. Drilling the earth’s crust and reaching a depth of 4,4 km, the drill began to spin in an unusual way. They could deduce that a very large cavity had been dug. At that point they descended  their tools for detection inside the hole. What they discovered was particularly disconcerting. Upon reaching the large cavity, a temperature peak of around 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit was detected and even the microphone began to melt. But before ending the environmental recording, the instrument captured what seemed like screams of desperation from millions of damned.

Registration doesn’ t have convincing explanation yet. Whether it is the result of skilful digital editing or a true recording of who knows what mysterious origin we will never know. Certainly listening to it can only leave a sense of restlessness and a bit of goose bumps.
