Released less than a week ago, the new Pagani Huayra R is already talking about itself. It is the most extreme Pagani ever made but it can only go on the track. It is fitted with a new naturally aspirated Pagani V-12 engine, it has 850 horsepower and 750 nm of torque. This new engine goes up to 9000 rpm to provide maximum performance. All this in just 1050 kg. Only 30 were produced, for 30 lucky ones who will be able to enjoy it only on the track, for the modest sum of 2.6 million euros.
DOWNFORCE
Pagani specified that every line and surface of this hypercar is designed to generate the maximum possible load; at 320 km/h the Huayra R achieves 1,000 kg of downforce. All this downforce is thanks to several elements such as: the flat bottom, the rear diffuser and the large wing in the tail. On the other hand, the two new side air intakes stand out at the front, necessary for cooling the braking system. New flaps have been placed on the front hood to improve the speed of air extraction and create greater stability at the front. New vents above the wheel arches and the large side air intake, highlighted by the Italian flag, allow instead to channel the flows more effectively, conveying them towards the rear aerodynamic appendages.
COCKPIT
The cockpit has been designed to offer the best possible ergonomics: all essential controls, such as traction control and ABS, are positioned on the steering wheel, adjustable in height and depth. Since the seats are fixed and integrated into the monocoque, there is an adjustable pedal set, custom designed for the Huayra R. The digital instrumentation integrates a telemetry system, which records all vehicle data to allow a performance analysis and monitor the condition of the car.
