Hi guys, happy Sunday and... welcome to the football world!
Juventus Football Club is one of the best football teams in Europe at the moment, thanks to years of great achievements and a brilliant team.
We are two wild-eyed Juventus supporters and today we would like to tell you about an event which shocked the majority of us fans: the substitution of our wonderful emblem.
In fact, the management has recently announced that starting from 2017/2018 season the old logo will be replaced by a brand-new emblem.
If you surf the Net, you will bump into comments which disapprove this choice: the administration said that the new symbol is due to a new marketing strategy…but it’s awful! Frankly, we two can’t stand the new logo because we think that it shouldn’t be changed very often: it should symbolize the history of a club or a community in general!
Here it is below. What do you think? Do you like it?
During its century-long history, Juventus changed its logo, its symbol, just a few times because it must be a fixed and constant reference point to all the team supporters.
In the lower part of the logo, there have always been the emblem of the city of Turin: golden on a blue background.
Over the years the backgrounds for the word Juventus and the Turin coat of arms were modified as happened for logos adopted over the 40's and then in 70's.
The most evident and resounding changing comes from the beginning of the 80's: at that time the first changes were adopted because of the sponsor. Juventus logo appeared in a stylized zebra with a background star in the upper left.
Till next post, then. We wish you an exciting Sunday of sport and … Forza Juve!
