MOVIE TIME! SPACE JAM 2: NEW LEGENDS

Hi everyone, I’m very happy to be back on our blog and today, for my first article this year  I want to tell you about a film that I discovered yesterday. It was just amazing!

It is called “Space Jam 2: new legends” and it was released on the 23rd of September of 2021 by Warner Boss. It is the sequel of “Space Jam 1”, which was released instead in 1996 and starred Micheal Jordan as its protagonist.

THE CHARACTERS

In this film we can find very famous people and fantasy characters known all around the world.

Among them the best basketball player in the world at the moment, Lebron James (he is also defined as the GOAT of basketball, greatest of all time, along with Michael Jordan).

We can also find other NBA stars, like Anthony Davis( Lebron’s teammate), Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Chris Paul and Kyle Kuzma,  but they are voice actors, not real characters.

In addition, there are three WNBA players too: Diana Taurasi and Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike. Finally, how not to mention the Looney Tunes, which will help Lebron in his challenge.

 

THE PLOT

During a trip to the Warner Bros studios, LeBron James and his son Dom are accidentally trapped in the world of Warner Bros, which is under the control of an all-powerful force called Al-G Rhytmo, that proposes a collab to the two that Mj will refuse.

Dom walks away and reaches a strange computer room, followed by his father but both are sucked into the Server-Verso and come face to face with Al-G Rhytmo who wants to take revenge for the rejection.

Lebron has to win a basketball match in the Looney Tunes World in order to not be trapped forever in the Server-Verso and at the same time, Al-G Rhytmo made Dom believes that Lebron was never on his side and convinces him to create an enhanced team.

The basketball match is held between the Tune Squad (LeBron and the Toons) and the Goon Squad (Dom's game team, composed of the latter and the characters created by the son together with the entity) and recalls all the inhabitants of the worlds of the Server-Verso and all LeBron fans (including his family).

Dom learns of Al-G Rhytmo's deception and, after the end of the second quarter where the Goon Squad was ahead by a thousand points,causes a bug that will cause Lebron and his teammates to win the game.

 

WAS IT A GOOD FILM?

 

To be honest, I really enjoyed this film and I’m going to watch it again for sure! I really recommend it if you are looking for something light and fun. It has a very good ending and it’s a very entertaining film.  I personally can’t wait for the third Space Jam!
