A Walk To Remember
This is the most romantic movie of all time and it is based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks. It is the story of two young people who fall deeply in love with each other but who come from very different worlds. The girl, Jamie, is really religious, her father is a protestant priest, and she is sweet and kind with anyone, she is fond of astronomy. Instead the boy, Landon, is just the opposite: he is a typical "bad boy" popular and rebellious. Landon, after bullying a younger boy, is forced by the head of the school to participate in the school play where he met Jamie. Thus they start seeing each other almost everyday and they fall in love. Eventually, he will discover something very upsetting about Jamie, which will change everything.
"Our love is like thi wind. I can't see it. But I can feel it!"
This movie tells about a couple which is deeply in love but, suddently, the man is killed by a thief. Actually Sam isn't really dead, he is a ghost who remains among the living beings to help his lover, Molly, to find out who his killer is. In any case Sam can talk with Molly with the help of a medium until he has to leave her for good to be welcome by the bright spirits of good. The most famous scene of this film is the one in which they make a vase out of clay together with the background of the song "Unchained Melody". A curious thing about the actress, Demi Moore, is that she was chosen by the director because she could cry spontaneously in both eyes.
"I tell you *I love you* and you say *ditto*, is not the same thing"
The film tells the turbulent story of two young lovers: Jade and David. After the degree Jade tries to establish relationships with her peers after two years’ mourning for her brother, Chris. Then she meets David who had been in love with her since the second year at high school. The two begin their love story, but at the same time David learns about Jade's father, Hugh, who doesn't accept the fact that his daughter might lose her innocence and, especially, might renouce to be a cardiologist as they had planned for her. Jade and David try to continue their love story, fighting and suffering, but, in the end, they will manage to stay together!
"My first love was everything, all at once. The kind you never fall back, never try to, never want to. A love so big, so strong, it never dies, never fades, never loses it's electricity. The kind of love you fight for, the kind of boy you fight for!"
We are sure you all know about this movie! Maybe you've never watched it, but you've heard about it, because it is a must. We all know the tragic plot so we are going to focus on some interesting facts you might not know yet.
- In the book the end is different bacause in it the ship is sunk by pirates.
- The first title of the movie had to be "Christmas Cruise".
- During the famous scene when they pretend to fly, a sound engineer would have come to tell them that the roasted prawns were served at their table but this scene was cut.
- Di Caprio wasn't the first choice, infact the first was Brad Pitt but he rejected.
- When Jack draws Rose the hand that we see in the framing is James Cameron's hand. He really made Kate Winslet’s portrait!
"The heart of a woman is a deep ocean of secrets. But now you know that there was a man named Jack Dawson and that he saved me, in all the ways in which a person can be saved. I don't even have a picture of him ... I don't anything about him, he lives only in my memories."
Paige and Leo are a newlywed couple, deeply in love with each other. On one snowy night the two get killed in a car accident: Leo comes out without a scratch, while a strong head trauma erases Paige’s memory. When she wakes up, Leo is a complete stranger to her . Thus Leo has to win his wife's love back. Paige's mind is back to about five years before, in the days when she was a law student, before meeting Leo, she can't understand why she had moved away from his parents and why she left university. Leo tries to help Paige to remember but then he gives up because despite his efforts, he remains a stranger to her. After a while Paige finds out that her father had betrayed her mother with her friend and this was the reason for her leaving her parents’ house. Paige chooses to retrace her past to find her old self and, eventually, she goes back to Leo, giving new life to their relationship. This is a truly romantic story and the most interesting thing is that it is based on a true story not on a novel as you may think!
"I vow to love you, and no metter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find a way back to each other"
