WILL YOU BE MY BOOKISH VALENTINE?

Ok! This post is for boys who are still looking for the right present for their girlfriends:  a  good book is always the best way to surprise them, you know? In our opinion giving your partner a book,   you can understand each other better and show your feelings to her, like saying “This one tells about my story and my world. Will you give it a try?”
But when is a book “good”? How to choose the right one?  We have tried to match the kind of girl you could love with the right book recommendation. Fingers crossed we succeeded!

TRULY ROMANTIC GIRL

Your girl is romantic and reads only love stories? You HAVE TO give her one of Nicholas Sparks's books ( WE REALLY LOVE HIM). We suggest you one of our favourite love stories: MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE. It is the story of Teresa, a divorced woman with a son, who one day while walking on the beach found a bottle containing a message. It had been written by Garrett Black to his dead wife. Teresa will start looking for him.

A DREAMER

What’s better than a utopian book? THE GIVER is a book about a perfect future society where love, joy, violence and cruelty don’t exist. On the day of his 18th birthday Jonas became the next RECEIVER OF MEMORY. He held the memories of the whole humanity and he took the possibility to change his world understanding the meaning of a life full of feelings even the negative ones.

 A NERD

If you are engaged with a nerd girl,  a real fangirl, we advise to give her a  book like SHANNARA.
Shannara is  series including  27 books, written by Terry Brooks. Shannara takes place on Earth in a distant future, where the human race doesn’t exist almost anymore because of  apocalyptic events. The world is divided into 4 lands, each land  is ruled by a different race to avoid other wars. This series is about  the Ohmsford family, who are part  of an ancient royal line, the  Elven Shannara.

A GLUTTON GIRL OR A COOKING FAN

If you are engaged with a girl who likes eating or cooking,  there isn’t any better solution than to give her a good cookbook. Since we all know  men love when their women prepare   a good tasty meal for them, let’s say it’s a gift for both. Here’s our recommendation:

 Gordon Ramsay's Fast Food

This book is one of the United States' most-published cookbooks These days everyone wants fast food but at the same time they want to eat well. And there's no one better than Gordon Ramsay to show you how to cook real food fast and make it taste delicious too!

A BADASS GIRL

If your girl loves adventures and thrilling stories, The Shadowhunter Chronicles, is the right saga for her. Written by Cassandra Clare, it has sold millions of copies all over the worlds. The protagonist, Clary, is strong and brave and lives in a universe where fairy tales and mythologies are true. She discovers she  belongs to the Shadowhunters,   a race of humans who possesses  angel blood and have the task to control the Shadow World and avoid demons attack the mundanes (ordinary humans).

FOND OF CLASSICS

There are girls who think that you can’t consider yourself a reader if you have never read some classics. WUTHERING HEIGHTS is the right classic novel to give them as a Valentine gift. Written by Emily Bronte, it tells a truly passionate story.  Heathcliff loves Catherine, and she loves him too. Unfortunately this love will destroy them both. The main themes are jealousy and revenge, passion and obsession.

What are you doing still there? Run to the nearest bookshop or check these books online.

 Valentine's Day is tomorrow!!!

By the way, Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

Lovely post, Alice & Martina. Among the books in your list I only read "The Shadowhunter Saga", which was great fun, and obviously "Wuthering Heights", which is one of my favourite 19th century novels.
